'Top Kill' LIVE feed: BP says oil spill stopped Video

The U.S. coastguard claims engineers have managed to use mud to stop the flow of oil from the leaking well in the Gulf of Mexico. This is the first step in BP's plan to seal the breach for good with cement. Live webcams still showed material jetting out from the well head - but BP chief operating officer Doug Suttles said he believed mud, not oil, was now coming out of the ruptured pipe. Meanwhile the new study by U.S. Geological Survey revealed new results. Two teams using different methods determined the well is leaking at least 1.9 million liters a day. One team said it might be leaking as much as 3 million liters and another said that number might be closer to 3.8 million liters.

We stood by and watched our population go out of control, our forests chopped down so we could read about something that happened yesterday. our lakes, rivers, streams polluted, and? all the wild life destroyed. We stood by while everything else was covered in ashfault and concrete. You need to lay blame. talk to the guy in the mirror.

i work for the ...
i work for the company that designs and builds the ROV's they sent to stop the leak, i am proud that i am working for 1 of only 2 companies in the world that make such high tech machines, only started there a? few months ago, but its still a great feeling to no, that if something like this happenes again, the thing that fixes it might have been built by me, :)

many people are not aware just how much pollution drilling into the sea bed causes in general. Drilling into the seabed causes oil spillage and leakage on a permanent basis anyway. everytime that drill goes into the sea? bed tons leakage occurs. Oil drilling is a messy polluting bussiness. It's disgusting to see how many sea creatures that will have suffered all for people to be driving around cars in cities wasting oil

Everyone becareful the toxic chemicals rise to the surface of the water in the gulf evaporate into the air and carried with wind rain and dumped on land. Becareful about eating your fruits and veggies cuz DOLE cuts OFF the celery leaves on the stalks that are burnt! I live? in IL and my plants, trees, flowers have burnt black leaves, black burnt holes, white corrosion some leaves on the trees have fallen off already it looks like fall here

I used to hate BP too but it's not all that bad. Most of the oil is already gone so who cares if it ever existed. I don't see no mo so that's all right with me.
